Agricultural Safety Education

Our Progressive Agriculture Safety Day 2025 was a hit!

On June 10th, 240 youth from our community gathered to learn about safety on the FARM, safety in the HOME......SAFETY EVERY DAY!

Many local businesses and organizations came together to put on this fantastic event:

Prairie Sky Co-op, FCC, AGWEST Equipment, E.Bourassa & Sons, South Country Equipment, Viterra, Saskpower, Adama Canada, Operation Lifesaver, SunSmartSK, Prairie Animal Health Clinic, Weyburn Police Service, Aquired Brain Injury, Prairie Wind Recreation, Weyburn EMS, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of Saskatchewan, Pharmasave, Edge Safety and Supply, Pappa Jack’s Ice Cream, Stranger Danger Candy.

Plus many local volunteers: Larissa Munchinski, Amanda Penner, Stella Swertz, Jocelyne Vick, Amy Woodard, Randi Maurer, Bev Gordon, Erin Pretty, Tana Cugnet, Jodie Long, Melissa Gordon, Naomi Berg, Pam Gutske, Lorretta Benning, Hayden Pulfer, Caroline Erasmus.

The Weyburn Agricultural Society works hard to “Educate and Entertain the Youth of our Community”! One event that we are proud to host for students in our community is our Progressive Ag Safety Day. Children get to see demonstrations and partake in discussions about numerous safety-related topics, such as:

· Dog-Bite Safety

· Electrical Safety

· Chemical Safety

· Sun Safety

· First Aid

· Tractor Safety

· Lawn Mower Safety

· Grain Safety

· Helmet/Bike/ATV Safety
